Bithumb Announces IPO Plan, Targets 2028 Listing Completion

According to Bithumb's official announcement, South Korea's leading cryptocurrency exchange Bithumb has officially announced its IPO plan and disclosed a three-phase timeline: completing internal control optimization and preparation for K-IFRS (Korean International Financial Reporting Standards) conversion in 2026; submitting pre-listing review applications in 2027; and completing the official listing in 2028.
To advance the IPO, Bithumb has launched multiple reform measures, including introducing an institutional-level risk management system, advancing the spin-off of subsidiary Bithumb Asset to optimize governance structure, collaborating with major domestic and international securities firms and law firms, and expanding investor relations (IR) communication channels.
Bithumb stated that this IPO aims to enhance corporate transparency and investor protection levels through institutionalized financial standards, boosting the overall credibility of South Korea's crypto asset industry.
